Christmas Season

December 18christmas season,tree decoration

I am thankful for Christmas season. Christmas is my favorite time of the year. And although I tend to drag my feet early on, later on I jump in head first. There is no happier time than Christmas. I love the idea of giving gifts to the people you care about. And the most fun is to try to personalize those gifts for the particular person. It sends an extra special message of "I really care for you."

This is a photo I took at a nursery exhibiting Christmas trees and decorations. This was one of the trees. The photo below was taken of my across-the-street neighbor's holly tree. I used multiple exposures with selective focusing to try to bring out a wider range of "in focus" areas.

christmas season

such a special holiday

meaningful and full of so much heart

where love and giving take center court

december from a november start

when crazy grandmas

can be seen in a mad dash

to claim a marked down gift

shoving and pushing toward clash

so however a special and meaningful day

causes in us conflicting behavior

perhaps it is simply because

we forget it’s for our wondrous savior.
