Resourcefulness

February 15

I am thankful for resourcefulness-that indicator of the human spirit that will not let a lack of material or items stop them. People have an amazing capacity for inventing new ways to do things in spite of the lack of resources.

I was going to Ash Wednesday services at my church last evening and pulled into the parking lot and noticed these two kids playing basketball at the apartment next door and grabbed my camera. They were using the hole in the awning over the door as a basketball goal. A lack of a basketball goal and court did not stop them! So even children can be resourceful-maybe even more so than adults.

resourcefulness

the most important item

that people can have for themselves

should be in large supply

and plentiful upon their shelves

to fix broken things

patch any kind of hole

tie down loose items

make broken items whole

so what is this thing

that can be useful in any landscape

when one needs to be resourceful

it’s the versatile and useful duct tape.
