Ingenuity

I am thankful for ingenuity, that trait that allows we humans to come up with the most intriguing and unusual solutions to problems. Without ingenuity there would be no light bulb, no hula hoop, no slinky, no computers or cell phones. Who would have imagined my cell phone could hold more information than my brain! Maybe that's not saying a lot, but I'm just saying.

I came upon this building in Ocean Springs, Mississippi. It's address is 1000 Government Street and it stands as a landmark to human ingenuity. There was 1) a beautiful tree on the property and 2) there was a building that needed to be put there. There was at least one person who didn't want 1 and 2 to interfere with each other, so they came up with the solution shown in the photo. They made special provisions for the large limbs. I love it!

ingenuity

i need a solution

to a problem i’ve got

it’s going to take wisdom

it’s going to take thought

putting the pieces together

just let me see

i know i can figure it out

it just takes ingenuity

a little of this

and a little of that

perhaps some gum

duck tape and a tack

put them all together

my solution has just come

i’ve figured the best answer

for adding this complex sum.
