Purple and Gold

purple and gold April 21

I am thankful for purple and gold. Of course, my LSU bias comes out here and my alma mater's colors shine through. There's nothing more beautiful than purple and gold together, especially on a Saturday night in Tiger Stadium!

I saw these pansies in Ocean Springs Mississippi outside a shop and took the pictures because their LSU color scheme.

purple and gold

in my wildest dreams

wish i was purple and gold

because then for lsu merchandise

i could most surely be sold.

Richard, I graduated from Biloxi High School in 1966, and several of my classmates, including my best friend and high school golf teammate, went to LSU. So, it wasn't that unusual for kids from the Biloxi area to like LSU.

Southern Miss was scheduled to play LSU in baseball just a few weeks ago in the Wally Pontiff classic game in New Orleans, but they got rained out and couldn't reschedule it. A football game would be fun between them. It would probably be very competitive since Southern Miss is usually pretty good.

It seemed like there were a lot of LSU fans in Ocean Springs as I saw a lot of LSU stuff there, but they may just be catering to tourists from Louisiana.

Ah, purple and gold, what a great color combination for flowers! I am from Biloxi, MS, which is just across the bridge from Ocean Springs. You would think that flower colors in Ocean Springs would be Ole Miss, Miss State, or Southerm Miss (my alma mater), but I am glad you found the purple and gold. I am a big LSU fan (Pam's alma mater) and I root for them all of the time - except if they play Southern Miss, which I don't recall ever happening. So, I am safe on both sides.
