Attention

March 26

I am thankful for attention. That attention I receive by others (in this case by the dogs) and that attention that I can give to tasks or to others. Attention to someone or something allows you to have complete focus on them or what you are doing and gives you the best opportunity of giving it your best. Just as I am flattered and validated by the attention of others, so too are they validated when you give them your attention.

I left the door open a crack on purpose so that the dogs could watch what I was doing but not be able to run off. I was outside taking photos but did not intend to take theirs. But they were so cute I couldn't resist the opportunity. Oakley and Cupcake have been the subjects of several of my Photos of the Day so far and I imagine they will get more opportunities because they are so ever present in my life.

attention

you hoo people

could i have your attention

i’m acting out rather badly

and yelling not to mention

the crazy hat and clothes

that i am sporting today

surely you can’t ignore me

as you are doing this way

at least i have my dogs

for with them i am number one

to them nothing i do is wrong

to them i am only great fun.

attention ii

all I have to do

to get the attention of you

is to be genuinely interested

in everything about you.
